Captain Nanfito and Sergeant Beeman accepting awards for 2006
Each year California State Organization of Mothers Against Drunk Driving (MADD) recognizes law enforcement officers and other traffic safety professionals for their efforts to assist in their mission:  To stop drunk driving, support the victims of this violent crime and prevent underage drinking.  Sergeant Paul Nanfito nominated Officer Eric Magrini for his efforts to stop drunk drivers.  In 1999, Officer Magrini made "49" of the 197 D.U.I. arrests made by the Red Bluff Police Department.  He single handedly accounted for approximately 25% of all D.U.I. arrests made by this Department.  On June 5, 2000, MADD recognized the Red Bluff Police Department and Officer Magrini for his efforts in D.U.I. enforcement at an awards ceremony in Sacramento California.
