Domestic Violence
If you need immediate assistance call 911

Domestic violence is the willful intimidation, physical assault, battery, sexual assault, and/or other abusive behavior perpetrated by an intimate partner against another. It is an epidemic that affects the individuals of our community, regardless of age, economic status, race, religion, nationality or educational background. Domestic Violence has no boundaries or limits. Violence against a person is often accompanied by emotionally abusive and controlling behavior, and thus is part of a systematic pattern of dominance and control. Domestic violence can result in physical injury, psychological trauma, or even death. The consequences of domestic violence can cross generations and truly last a lifetime.

Many victims of domestic violence are reluctant to report being victimized by a spouse or significant other. For additional information on reporting domestic violence incidents, click here.
