The Support/ Special Services Division includes Investigations, Records, Property and Evidence and the Community Service Officers. The Division Commander is Sergeant Jason Beeman who has taken on the role of Acting Lieutenant.
Biography:
Sergeant Beeman began his law enforcement career with the Red Bluff Police Department in 2000. As a patrol officer, Sergeant Beeman led the Department four years in a row with the most DUI arrests and was certified as a DUI expert in Superior Court. As a Narcotics Agent with the TAGMET Drug Task Force, Sergeant Beeman’s primary responsibility was investigating drug trafficking and sales of drugs in Tehama County. As a Detective, Sergeant Beeman’s duties included investigating financial crimes, crimes against children and violent crimes such as robbery and homicide. Sergeant Beeman also served as a patrol supervisor for 2 ½ years prior to his current assignment as Support/ Special Services Division Commander.
Sergeant Beeman grew up in Red Bluff, graduating from Red Bluff High School in 1989 and Shasta College in 1992. Prior to becoming a police officer, Sergeant Beeman played professional baseball for two years. He lives locally with his wife and five children. In his spare time, Sergeant Beeman enjoys travelling with his wife and children and playing baseball.
