Biography:
Lieutenant Kyle Sanders is a lifelong resident of Red Bluff and graduated from Red Bluff High School in 1991. He began his career as a patrol officer with Red Bluff Police Department in 1996 and has worked a variety of assignments including Field Training Officer, SWAT Operator and Detective. Lt. Sanders was a patrol sergeant prior to promoting to lieutenant in 2007 when he took charge of the Department’s Support / Special Services Division. Lt. Sanders currently commands the Operations Division consisting of patrol and dispatch personnel. Lt. Sanders possesses an Associate of Arts Degree in General Education and a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Organizational Leadership. In his off duty time, Lt. Sanders enjoys physical fitness and spending time with his wife and two children.

Operations Division:
The Operations Division is comprised of the Patrol Unit and Dispatch Unit whose primary function is to deliver initial police services to the community 24 hours a day, 365 days a year. The Operations Division consists of uniformed police officers and public safety dispatchers who work together to provide police response to calls for service as well as the initial response to an emergency or report of a crime. This division accounts for most of the Department’s measurable workload and is the most visible as they are usually the first point of contact for persons seeking police services.
The Operations Division is currently commanded by one Lieutenant and staffed with five sergeants, nine police officers, one dispatch supervisor and four dispatchers. These personnel work diligently everyday to make the City of Red Bluff a great place to live.
